Relationships on the Rocks

Relationships are only what you make it!!!! We have to learn to accept our mates and love him/her unconditionally. You have to make the decision before the wedding day to do this. Remember whatever problems you have before the wedding day will only carry over into the marriage. Make sure you iron out all the wrinkles before making the decision. Anything is possible with GOD first and your willingness to change. When I say change I mean grow. The only thing that remains constant is change so we all must change to grow and become a better individual. Only you know what you go through with your significant other so make a decision that you can live with. If your relationship is in trouble, and it is worth saving seek help from a third party; a professional. Happy Engagement!!!!!!

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Joe Kinsey

Oh my……… you’re talking about love in the air. Wanda West and Joe Kinsey had a beautiful wedding ceremony June 19, 2010 at Grifton, Chapel Church of Christ. Their colors were persimmons and mocha. She carried a beautiful bouquet of hydrangeas made by Flowers to Go. Their cake which melted in your mouth was made by Your Perfect Cake. The food was catered by Aries Diner and decorations and floral arrangements were done by Weddings of Grace. The reception immediately followed at the Depot in Grifton where the crowd got down, dancing to music played by C & M Productions. There wasn’t any sitting down at this celebration of a life time. Everyone had SOOOOO much fun. Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Joe Kinsey and may God bless you!

Enclosure Cards

With your wedding day about four months away, it
is time to finalize your guest list and invite those
friends and loved ones you wish to have share in your
wedding celebrations.
While the paper trousseau choices available to
today’s bride are more varied and unique than in the
past, the bride’s selections should set the tone for the
wedding and inform the guests of key times and
places. Rather than cram all of the related information
on one invitation it is considered more appropriate to
include some enclosure cards as well.
AT HOME CARDS inform guests of your new
address and when you will be settled in. They are
most often used with announcements.
RESPONSE CARDS are enclosed with a stamped
self-addressed envelope.
RAIN CARDS give an alternate site for the ceremony
or reception in case of rain when an outdoor
event is planned.
TRAVEL CARDS may be enclosed to present to
parking attendants for free parking at the reception or
to inform guests that travel costs have been prepaid.
MAPS provided for guests who are unfamiliar with
the area are a thoughtful enclosure.
While none of these are mandatory, the use of
these helpful enclosures can keep your guests totally
informed about the big day.

Perspective

It doesn’t matter how long you spend planning it or
the number of people who assist you – there is always a
chance that “ Murphy” will visit your wedding and maybe
even bring friends. While you may not be in control of
everything, there are some things you can do to prevent
problems from occurring and minimize those problems
that do.
If possible, arrange to have a wedding planner/advisor
available to assist you at the beginning of your preparations
or hire one to oversee all of the details for you.
Make realistic plans to begin with. Don’t create undue
stress and complications by planning an event that is out
of your financial means, the time available or who you
are.
Be organized and disciplined. Stick to your plans and
stay focused. You will eliminate wheel spinning, indecision
and wasted energy.
Pay attention to details. You can prevent big problems
later if you pay attention to the small print now. As the
e x p e rts say,“The devil is in the details”.
Stay positive. Remember why you are getting married
in the first place. When the wedding preparations
seem to take on a life of their own and you find yourself
wondering if it is all worth it, remember why you
are doing it. You are celebrating the union of your two
lives. That’s a big thing and worth a little chaos.
Make decisions. Don’t dither. Trust your gut instinct.
And if early decisions don’t work out, make changes.
Stay flexible and be ready to detour if needed. How you
view road bumps has a lot to do with how you handle
them. Be prepared to either go around them or skim
over the top of them.
Don’t be a “ bridezilla”. What an appalling way for a
woman to behave under any circumstances and over
plans for a day which is to celebrate her new life, it is
unacceptable.
Be prepared for some things to veer off plan.
Anticipate them and have alternatives at the ready.
